If you are looking for the Broadcom BCM 43XX drivers then you will find them below. There is a Windows Vista version of the drivers as well as a Windows 7/8/8.1 and another separate file for the Windows 10 drivers for the BCM43XX.Note that you will need to download the driver, the one which covers your operating system and from there you will need to and install the driver from the file. This driver covers the BCM 43xx range of adapters such as the BCM4301 right up to and including the BCM4365 and everything in between. Check your hardware first before you install this driver. Note that all the drivers have a 32bit and 64bit version in the file.
I just bought a new Acer laptop and scrubbed the hard drive and installed my own Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit software (original CD's). I can't get a wireless connection now. The system recognizes my router signal, but the driver I need for the PCI communications controller wasn't part of the list of drivers I downloaded from Acer.Acer has been less than no help - basically saying their laptop doesn't support Windows 7 Ultimate (after hours on the phone and numerous e-mail exchanges), but they implied the problem is fixable.

I know the controller is an Intel 3B64, but Intel's website indicates the controller has been modified and I need to go back to Acer - Acer just blows me off with the lame explanation that I need to order the recovery disk and use their factory installed software, and basically get over it.I'm not an IT guru, but not an idiot either. I would think there's a driver that will solve the problem.the trick is just finding it. And I'm too stubborn to just be a victim to this kind of nonsense. Tried all of the standard things - none work. The device manager indicates the controller needs a driver. Mc, Thanks for the replyI completely re-formatted my hard drive and did a full install of Windows 7 Ultimate. The driver set I downloaded from Acer indicates it's supposed to support every version of Windows 7, but it isn't working. Acer has been less than no help - basically saying their laptop doesn't support Windows 7 UltimateAs Window7 is Windows 7 as far as drivers go, sounds like the person you were talking to got their training at the Geek Squad. The only thing that would be different is 32 bit or 64 bit.
That said looking here,and using the Aspire 5741 there is 2 wireless adapter drivers; one for a Broadcom adapter and one for Atheros, both supporting 32 bit and 64 bit.Edit: You added all of the above while I was typing. Anyway if the 'PCI communications controller' showing in Device Manager is the wireless adapter, it should show the DevID in the properties; Right click on it and select Properties, click on the Details tab and from the dropdown select hardware IDs. If it does post back what it shows. I just bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5552-7668 and when I installed the pre-loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, my wireless card was functioning and was connected to my router and was working perfectly. I then installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit and drivers such as the graphics card driver installed fine and turned out to work but when I try to install the driver for the wireless card a message pops up saying something like, 'unable to detect, please insert network card' something like that.
Anyway, just to let u know that the Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit I installed has nothing wrong with it because last year I had the same exact model laptop except it has a triple core processor instead of the quad core processor which is located in my new laptop (5552-7668), and all drivers installed just fine. My IT-technician cousin installed the drivers for me through the device manager and this time I just ran the setup.exe files. I don't think there is a difference which way you do it, because my graphics card driver is functioning the way it should and I installed it by simply running the setup file and not through the device manager. My Windows 7 install disc is a downloaded image file which I burned to a DVD-R which contains every version of Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit) but there is nothing wrong with the disc at all because as I said it worked flawlessly on my old laptop, the one with the triple core processor, I contacted Acer tech support by phone and by live chat and on the phone they told me I have to pay 140$ for a 1 year anytime tech support help service which I don't want!
