Chris

The character model for Chris Redfield has been found in the code of Resident Evil 2, and modders have been able to make the character playable. The arrival of the Resident Evil 2 remake signals the return of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. As two of the most iconic characters in the series, seeing their models and designs brought up to par with other current-generation titles feels much overdue. Still, a character that’s arguably the face of the franchise was always going to be missed by Resident Evil fans. That hero in question is none other than Chris Redfield.Despite appearing at the tail-end of the divisive Resident Evil 7, fans are always going to want to see more of Chris Redfield. This is because the hero is one of the the original protagonists featured in the first Resident Evil game, and gamers aren’t quite ready to move past the various adventures they’ve had with the protagonist since. Even then, it was beginning to look like Chris’s original partner Jill Valentine would be redesigned in a Resident Evil 3 remake before he returned to the limelight – or at least that appeared to initially be the case.Related: Resident Evil 2 Remake: Best Tips, Tricks, & Hints To Know Before PlayingFollowing the release of Resident Evil 2, dataminers began going through the code found within the game. As it turns out, a full model for Chris Redfield is already present and tucked away within Resident Evil 2, which could signal a number of things for gamers that are eager to see the character’s return. After a little work, modders were even able to get Chris Redfield’s character model into a playable state on the Resident Evil Modding Forum.

Face

Now, the character model itself raises a few questions as it is based on the Resident Evil 7 version of Redfield – which most core fans likely wouldn’t care too much for. Additionally, it’s very much an unfinished render, as holstered guns are said to levitate behind Chris as he walks around the environment. Since Resident Evil 2 is built utilizing the same engine as the seventh entry in the series, it’s entirely possible (if not likely) that this character model is just leftovers from Capcom. It’s also not out of the question that gamers may get a campaign option that provides a glimpse of what Chris Redfield is up to during the Raccoon City crisis. This a possibility since Resident Evil 2 is getting free DLC showcasing three playable characters and their stories during the outbreak. Fans shouldn’t get their hopes up about that outcome, but it would be great to see what the Resident Evil icon is up to at this point in the series and learn just how concerned he is for the safety of his sister Claire Redfield.More: Resident Evil 2 Remake’s Brad Vickers Easter Egg Is AwesomeResident Evil 2 arrived for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 25, 2019.Source: Resident Evil Modding Forum.

Since HUNK moved this to its own thread, I took the liberty to edit this post and have it function as the main gallery. uncredited, unconfirmed or for disputeChris Redfield- Facial Capture -Roger Craig Smith (6)- Motion Capture -Reuben Langdon (5/6)Jill Valentine- Face Model -Amra Silajdzic (ORC)- Motion Capture -Julia Voth (REmake), Patricia Ja Lee (5), Jade Quon (5;stunts)Leon S.

At least that's what's been going around the interwebs. I'm still searching the internet for the actual source of information/credit listing.EDIT: Never found Danielle's name in the Revelations credits.:/ I'm beginning to think Amra is also her model there:-Blood TypesI'm certain this doesn't warrant its own thread, so I hope you don't mind if I place the info here.

How Old Is Chris Redfield

The Japanese believe that a person's blood type is a determining factor in his/her personality and relationship with others. In anime and games, it's pretty standard for characters to have defined blood types. I think that also applies to BH.

Chris Redfield Face Model Man

^ What Archelon said.I'm really not sold on Danielle being Jill, and none of the places I checked crying foul over Jill's new face seem to have any definite source for it. So I've removed her picture there. On the other hand, the more I look at Amra, the more I'm convinced that ORC wasn't her only Jill stint.

Chris Redfield Face Model 2

The design looks like it was carried over to Revelations and Mercenaries 3D.Caroline Ribeiro as reference for Ada looks legit, but still no definite source.Correct me if I'm wrong, but out of all the main characters, Chris and Ada never seemed to have any credited face model until 6. The skins will always creep me out, but good job as always! Nice to get insider info on the basis for Annette.weirdNaoto - The likes of Nina Fehren, Allan Groves, Sergia Louise Anderson and even Julia Voth. Were all directly credited as either mo-cap or VA and not as face models, and yet they bear close resemblance to the characters they portray. In Roger Craig Smith's case, it was never confirmed and the likeness between and Chris aren't that strong as with the others, but I was working on the same assumption. That said, even has similarities with Degeneration!Claire even though she was only credited as the mo-cap.Granted, Caroline Ribeiro was not credited and is only rumored to have been the basis for Ada (hence the. marker).

I personally see some resemblance, especially in certain angles. (The forehead, too.)And right, Bradley Dodds and Bart Voitila must be interchanged. Thanks for pointing that out.Amra is Jill. There was no direct name-matching in the ORC credits, but it was obvious who she was used for. And the resemblance to Revelations!Jill is too strong to dismiss her as a one-time model for the character.Ergh. I should fix that list soon.
