Fl Studio 20 Time Signature
I have used Cubase and Pro Studio but I really would love to use FL Studios. The problem is most of my music has weird time signatures that change throughout the songs and I like to use poly rhythms and triplets and so forth. The piece I am trying to write is in 6/8, 7/8 and 4/4 with tons of triplets in the 6/8 section. How do I manage that in Fl Studios? Is there a guide to dealing with weird meters in this program or should I use another program to record? Should I make small sections of the song in different files and mix them together at the end. Don't really want to do that though. I would prefer to learn FL Studios just for Harmors resampling abilities.I appreciate any help with this. Anon: Can I have mixed time signatures?
Is this global or per pattern? I need to combine 4/4 and 3/4 in a songDC2 Music: 'You can work around that by copying the file and doing one version at one and the other at the other. Then you can render them out as wavs and mix them in a third project file. I can conceive how FL would allow you to change those settings automation style in real time. Of course the typical work around is to simply play with the snap quantization settings and try to establish the type loop youre looking for.
If thats too hard, even easier(now that I know how to change signatures) you can change the signature, copy the quantized loop pattern using that signature, and then switch the signature back and try to see if you can loop your second signature into your stronger(longer) signature via pasting the loop. Timing might be off so youll then have to do some time automation but if you play your cards right it will be an easy way of accomplishing your goal(or a good learning experience for future mixing issues).'That's how I would have done it too. Because theoretically every rhythm is possible due the function of making the snap manual.
Hope it helped.
